Getting Started

What is the first step to working with Stillwell+Co?

The first step is a Discovery Call. These are complimentary 15–30 minute conversations designed to understand your business, what you’re navigating, and whether working together makes sense.

Discovery Calls are not strategy sessions or consulting calls. They are intentionally structured to determine fit and identify the most appropriate next step.

In many cases, the next step is a proposal outlining scope, timing, and investment.

Are Discovery Calls free?

Yes, Discovery Calls are always free.

However, they are not intended for “picking my brain” or receiving free strategic advice. Their purpose is to determine how Stillwell+Co can best support you and whether a Clarity Intensive or another service is appropriate.


Payment & Billing

How does payment work?

Payment terms depend on the type of engagement:

  • Ongoing services:
    The first month’s payment is due at the time the agreement is signed.

  • Projects or short-term engagements:
    50% of the total project fee is due upfront.
    The remaining balance is split into two milestone-based payments of 25% each, as outlined in the agreement.

Work does not begin until payment is received.

How do I pay?

Payments are invoiced via email and can be made by:

  • ACH

  • Credit card

Checks are accepted, but electronic payment is strongly preferred to avoid delays.


Scheduling & Timing

How far out are you typically booked?

Scheduling is based on current availability and project load. During your Discovery Call, we’ll discuss your desired timeline and I’ll be transparent about bandwidth and realistic start dates.

Do you have standard turnaround times?

No. Turnaround times are specific to each client and project.

That said, Clarity Intensives are designed to begin and conclude within 30 days of a signed agreement, ensuring focus and momentum without dragging the process out.

What happens if I need to reschedule?

Rescheduling policies are outlined in each agreement and depend on the type of engagement. Because this work is highly focused and calendar-dependent, advance notice is always appreciated and expected.


Working Together

Do you work with clients outside Indiana?

Yes. Stillwell+Co works with clients throughout the United States.

For Clarity Intensives, pricing assumes in-person sessions for clients within 90 minutes of Frankfort, Indiana. For clients outside that radius, travel expenses will be added to the total cost of the Intensive.

Are engagements in-person or remote?

Most engagements include a combination of in-person and remote work.

Early conversations are often most effective in person, particularly for clarity-focused work. Ongoing communication typically takes place via email, video calls, or phone once the work is underway.

How many clients do you take on at one time?

Rather than working toward a fixed number, we prioritize quality and attention.

Stillwell+Co is a team of six with ongoing, integrated client relationships. If current workload would compromise the quality or timing of your engagement, we’ll be upfront about availability before moving forward.


Fit & Readiness

What type of businesses are the best fit?

Our ideal clients typically:

  • Generate $250,000+ in annual revenue

  • Have completed at least one full year in business

  • Have some level of team or operational support

  • Are actively investing in growth and clarity

Businesses larger than $10M with internal marketing teams are often best suited for a Clarity Intensive or consultative engagement, rather than ongoing execution.

Do you work with all industries?

We are not industry-specific, but we are values-driven.

Stillwell+Co works with organizations that:

  • contribute positively to their communities

  • align with our organizational values

  • respect faith, integrity, and people-first leadership

We do not partner with organizations whose missions or internal cultures directly conflict with those values. If misalignment becomes apparent after work begins, Stillwell+Co reserves the right to discontinue the relationship.


The Business Clarity Intensive™

Is the Clarity Intensive required before other services?

In most cases, yes.

The Clarity Intensive is designed to eliminate prolonged onboarding and ensure we are working from a shared, strategic understanding of your business. It often shortens the overall timeline and improves outcomes across all other services.

Can I do a Clarity Intensive without continuing into other services?

Absolutely.

Some clients choose to complete a Clarity Intensive and take the insights forward on their own. Others continue into Messaging, Execution, or Digital Advertising & Optimization. Both paths are valid.

That flexibility is intentional.


Scope & Expectations

What happens if the scope changes mid-project?

If scope changes, we pause and revisit expectations.

Any changes are documented through a revised proposal, including updated pricing and timelines, before additional work begins.

Do you offer ongoing retainers?

Yes. Ongoing retainers are available for work without a defined end date.

Many Stillwell+Co client relationships last for years and are billed monthly or quarterly, depending on the structure of the engagement.

Do you guarantee results?

No marketing firm can ethically guarantee results.

What I do guarantee is:

  • diligent exploration of all viable options

  • transparent communication throughout the engagement

  • honest conversations if obstacles arise

  • a commitment to acting in the best interest of the client

If it becomes clear that there is no productive path forward, we discuss that openly and allow for the agreement to be ended appropriately.

Where is Stillwell+Co located?

Stillwell+Co is based in Frankfort, Indiana, serving businesses throughout Central Indiana, including the Indianapolis area, as well as clients nationwide. Some additional communities we have served or currently serve include Lafayette, Logansport, Noblesville, Anderson, Lebanon, Carmel, Greensburg, and Greencastle.
